A divorced woman and her young son move to a small town, hoping to make a fresh start on a horse ranch. She befriends the town druggist, who does what he can to help out and seems to hold an unnoticed affection for her. Small-town life is going smoothly until the woman's deadbeat ex-husband shows up.
