Mel, Marty and Dom are filmmakers trying to pitch an idea for a silent movie to a struggling studio. As they try to make the movie more marketable, they attempt to recruit a number of big name stars to appear, while the studio's creditors attempt to thwart them. Mel, Marty and Dom pop in and out of several different movie sets, sometimes accidentally acting in the pictures themselves while they try to garner more talent for their project. The film contains only one word of dialogue, spoken by an unlikely source.
